How To Create Your Own Character.

Now as people would put it, I frequently have my "Head in the clouds." I make my own creations for a story, movie, video game, etc. so I am going to show you how to make a character for the first time. First what you do is make a general appearance for your character such as age, hair color, and skin color. Once you have a general appearance down you move onto personality. Is your character short tempered, and will often break out into fits of rage? Or will your character keep a calm, cool, and calculated personality, often observing, and thinking behind the shadows? Picking personality is the back bone for your character. They can have a certain personality based on what happened in their life. The next part we talk about is backround. As we discussed when talking about personality, a backround is crucial in any character making him/her unique to the story. Your character could be angry, sad, and not know who to trust because of a family betrayal, or he could be tough, strong, yet have a deep dark secret that you have to find out. Having a characters backround will control, how he acts, how he behaves, and how he acts around other people. Now for the next part we're going to discuss clothing. Now this is my favorite part to design. Now most of my characters, are dark and mysterious, with a secret that they'd rather not share unless they get to know someone better. Usually these characters will wear leather trench coats, because I found that outfit mysterious, and calculating. Now for someone who's brash, loud, and a rebel. I would give him say a leather jacket, white T-Shirt, black jeans, and black sneakers. Because that is what I'd expect a character with that personality to wear. Now last but certainly not least we go into detail. Does your character have something special to the plot? Or something pivotal to the story? Where that is when detail comes into play. One of my characters has a long scar from where his head and hairline connect, all the way down across his eye to right at the bottom of his chin. And that scar could be a side story of getting to know the character better. Detail is key in any character, or story. I hope what I've told you will inspire you to make your own character. If you want to. You can comment to me your characters, and I will share mine. Here is a picture of a trench coat that looks similar to one of my characters. You can go into great detail when creating a character.

A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far Far Away...

Now a while back I have heard of a new Star Wars MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) called Star Wars The Old Republic. Now the creators of SWTOR (Star Wars The Old Republic) said that this game will be unlike any other MMO before. Most MMO's feature more of a levelling  system while SWTOR will focus on storyline. I have played a famous MMO based off of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series called Lord of the Rings Online or LOTRO for short. This game carried common MMO elements such as an ability to grind in which you kill enemies just for levelling, and farming where you kill enemies for loot and in game currency. SWTOR is going to be alot like LOTRO. There will be multiple classes to choose from, different species that you can play as that have their own special abilities, and other things like that. But what people say makes SWTOR different is they're making it very different like you are in a Star Wars movie, and what makes it interesting is that there will be a different storyline for each class you play. Will you fight for the Jedi on the Light Side of the Force? Or will you use your darkness as a Sith of the Dark Side...you decide!

Am I Dreaming?

For the last week I have been trying to lucid dream. For those who don't know what this is, lucid dreaming is when you are aware that you are dreaming and can control the aspect of the dream itself. Now most of the time it may take a few weeks to eventually learn lucid dreaming. Some learn sooner than others. Like learning a language different people are better/worse at it than others. Now the technique I've been trying is to think about looking at your hands when you dream. This is because your hands don't look like your hands in your dreams. So saying it or thinking it will eventually carry your consciousness to look at your hands. Professor Stephen LaBerge has been studying lucid dreaming for many years. Long enough that he can have a lucid dream at will. He has written a few books about the many techniques of lucid dreaming. Wish me luck!
